Larry is the head varsity girls' basketball coach at Mumford
High School in Mumford, Texas.
Larry has been a head varsity basketball coach for 28 years
and has 477 basketball career wins. He has coached in
Missouri, Arizona and Texas.
In addition to coaching basketball, Larry has also coached Baseball, Track, Cross Country,
Football, Golf, Tennis, and Volleyball. Served for thirteen years as Athletic Director. Served
as head of the physical education department K-12 for three years, and 6-12 for seven
years.
He has coached two State qualifying teams; three Regional teams; seven District
Championship teams; six district runner-up teams; thirteen play-off teams; six teams which
finished third in district.
He has coached teams which have won nineteen tournament championships and
seventeen teams that have finished second in tournament play.
He has coach junior high basketball for eight years. And been tournament director for 30
secondary school basketball tournaments. He has been camp director for fourteen summer
basketball camps and worked in an additional eleven other summer basketball camps. He
has been the director of a summer basketball league, a fall basketball league, hosted
basketball coaching clinics, coached Little Dribblers for seven years and officiated high
school basketball for three years.
Larry and his wife, Joani are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
(Hearne Branch), have nine children and live in Hearne, Texas.
